Your annual UK Tax Return is Coming

The 2020/21 UK Tax Year has ended on 5th April 2021. You must send a tax return if, in the last tax year (6 April to 5 April), you were:

  1. Self-employed as a ‘sole trader’ and earned more than £1,000 (before taking off anything you can claim tax relief on). Remember income from SEISS and other grants are taxable.
  2. A partner in a business partnership
  3. Earn money from renting out a property
  4. Receive untaxed tips and commission
  5. Receive untaxed income from savings, investments and dividends
  6. Receive foreign income (including employment income)
  7. If your income (or your partner’s, if you have one) was over £50,000, you may need to send a return and pay the High Income Child Benefit Charge.
